How to enter items and prices in your
software:
To find an item
- To find the item yourself left click on the relevant category in
the far left column. Another row of subcategories will pop up. Choose
again and so on until you find the item you want. Clicking on the last
category brings up the prices.
- For example, to find a TravelHairDryer follow the route PersonalCare
- HairCare - HairDryers - TravelHairDryers. When you click on TravelHairDryers,
the prices pop up.
- If you are not sure where to start looking then use the very powerful
search tool. In the example you might type in Trav or Hair or Dryer
in the Keyword Search box. It finds every occurrence of those letters
anywhere in any word. A list appears with your search string highlighted.
Just double click or click and close to find the item and its prices.
To enter a price
- Having found an item just click the price you think best represents
the current replacement value of your item.
- The prices have been carefully and widely researched from goods available
in the UK. But if your price is not there you can enter your own.
- To enter your own double click in the price box on the top right
and type your own.
To enter the quantity
The program automatically enters a quantity of one. To enter your own double
click in the quantity box on the top right and type your own.
To enter optional information for an item
Having selected quantity and price just type in any details about make, model,
serial no.
You can enter any notes you wish in the 'Your Notes' box.
To save the details and price to Your Inventory.
Click Save underneath the Additional Notes box. Double clicking enters that
item at that price but without nay additional details. Double clicking is very
quick and useful if you are not entering any additional details.
If you don't want to save item after you have clicked a price, you must click
Cancel before moving on.
