Quick Start Tips

  • From the start it is best to edit the list of rooms down to just the names of those in your home or business. Click on Edit Rooms and follow the instructions.
  • Its best to do a room at a time. Stand in the room and jot down all the things in that room.
  • Go the computer and start entering items. The left hand column on the screen gives the main categories. Click on a category and a list of sub categories appears. Carry on clicking till you find your item and a list of prices appears. You can also find things very quickly by typing just part of the word in Keyword Search and click. You can also enter your own items (Add Product Button at the top).
  • Click the price that best matches the current replacement price of your item or type in your own. Enter any other details and click Save. Double clicking a price quickly enters that item.
  • After that you can copy and move items to other rooms (right click the item listed under) and delete or edit items
  • Useful reports are available from the Reports menu
  • Very important. Backup frequently by clicking on the File menu, top left, then Backup
