How to apply a RPI - UK only update

• Firstly, your annual subscription needs to be valid (included in the first year). The software will tell you if your subscription needs renewing.
• Applying an RPI - UK only update helps keep the value of your inventory up-to-date for insurance purposes. When you enter and item and its price into your inventory, the date is also recorded. At any point in the future, you can change (usually increase) each of the prices in your inventory by the change in the relevant Retail Price Index (RPI - UK only) since the entry
• When you apply an RPI - UK only Update a unique range of Retail Price Indices, specific to household goods and compiled each month by SecureInventories, is downloaded and applied to you inventory.
• To apply an RPI - UK only Update, make sure you have selected your Internet connection under Connection/Options an click on Receive an RPI - UK only Update under Connections
• The application will automatically connect you to the SecureInventories website.
• When the Get the latest RPI - UK only Update box appears click Apply RPI - UK only and the download will start. It should take less than a minute but this depends on your connection.
• The software will then tell you if your existing inventory needs updating. The old and new total value of your inventory is displayed and you can chose whether to accept. IF YOU ACCEPT THE PRICES IN YOUR INVENTORY ARE CHANGED AND CANNOT BE CHANGED BACK. Please note some individual items can go down in value as well as up
• Click Close to close the Connection Box and stay on line (in case you want to receive a new Catalogue, Send Your Inventory or do other work online)
• Click Hang Up to hang up and close the connection. Alternatively, you can close quickly by clicking the computer icon alongside Modem Connected at the bottom of the screen
